چکیده
In this correspondence, it is shown that Legendre sequences of period p can be explicitly represented using the trace function defined on the finite field with 2n elements, whenever p = 2n 1 is prime for some R 2 3.

Trace Representation of Legendre Sequences
In this paper, a Legendre sequence of period p for any odd prime p is explicitely represented as a sum of trace functions from G F(2n) to G F(2), where n is the order of 2 mod p.
متن کاملNew construction for families of binary sequences with optimal correlation properties
In this correspondence, we present a construction, in a closed form, for an optimal family of 2m binary sequences of period 2 1 with respect to Welch’s bound, whenever there exists a balanced binary sequence of period 2m 1 with ideal autocorrelation property using the trace function. This construction enables us to reinterpret a small set of Kasami and No sequences as a family constructed from ...
متن کاملLegTraceRep.tex, 25.8.99, M.G.Parker Legendre and Twin Prime Sequences: Trace and Multi-Rate Representations
Trace representations are presented for all binary Legendre sequences and Twin-Prime sequences, and an alternative multi-rate construction is given for the Twin-Prime sequence.
متن کاملTrace Representations and Multi-rate Constructions of Two Classes of Generalized Cyclotomic Sequences
In this paper, two classes of generalized cyclotomic sequences of period pq are reconstructed by means of multi-rate parallel combinations of binary Legendre sequences which are clocked at different rates. Then these generalized cyclotomic sequences can be generated by combinations of short and cheap LFSR’s. From the multi-rate constructions and the trace representation of binary Legendre seque...
متن کاملA trace representation of binary Jacobi sequences
We determine the trace function representation, or equivalently, the Fourier spectral sequences of binary Jacobi sequences of period pq, where p and q are two distinct odd primes. This includes the twin-prime sequences of period p(p + 2) whenever both p and p + 2 are primes, corresponding to cyclic Hadamard difference sets. c © 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
